Plants that are cultivated at one place are called Crops.
Types of Crops
- 1. Kharif
These type of crops are Sown in Rainy Season approximately from June-July and are harvested in September-October month.
Eg. Paddy, Maize, Soyabean, Groundnut, Cotton Bajra, Jowar etc.
Rice is Staple Crop of India.
2. Rabi Crops
They are sown in Winter season from October approximately and are harvested in March Month.
North-Eastern Monsoon
Eg. Wheat, Gram, Pea, Mustard, Linseed etc.
3. Zaid Crops
These crops are sown in the month of March April and are harvested in June.
Watermelon, Muskmelon, Cucumber,
